UNITI is a business unit of Health Metrics Pty Ltd, an Australian owned and operated healthcare software business based in Melbourne. Our UNITI team is based in Ballarat, with real insight into the issues and challenges faced by regional and rural health services.
At Health Metrics, our purpose is to enable the sustainable provision of aged care and disability care by our customers to society.
Established in 2008 we build and deliver digital solutions that empower Aged Care, Community Care, Retirement Living and Disability Care providers and help them operate efficient and profitable businesses whilst at the same time supporting them to deliver the highest quality care.
Our software products have evolved from over 15 years of engagement and connection with our customer community of more than 170 care providers. We are 100% focused on meeting the changing care, legislative and business model requirements of the Australian and New Zealand aged care sector.
Our passionate team of more than 70 people strive for excellence and continual innovation ensuring our software is abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, and complex care problems. We provide local product development, implementation, training and support services and have the experience and understanding to provide innovative technology solutions that support our customers in delivering better healthcare outcomes.
In the late 1990’s, Ballarat District Nursing Society Inc. (later Ballarat and District Nursing & Healthcare) identified the need to better manage the patient journey, information and reporting. They quickly identified the software solutions available in the market were unable to meet their needs and decided to build a new system - by healthcare workers for healthcare workers.
Adoption of the product by other healthcare agencies grew rapidly across Victoria and Tasmania.
As demand grew – additional capabilities were provided, and the UNITI Client Management System was born.
Since then, the UNITI team has worked with healthcare workers to develop a solution that meets the needs and workflows of those providing care to our communities. In 2021, to further our organisational purpose to enable the sustainable provision of aged and disability care, UNITI was acquired by Health Metrics Pty Ltd.
